  • Great pratical course. The classes were interesting but I stopped going since I had another class at the same time. You can do the whole course without going to a theory class or even a lab class.
  • The labs classes are just following a guide and the teacher is there to help, my lab teacher Bruno Rodrigues was very helpful in both the project and labs 🙂. There are also weekly quizzes which are very easy to do and you can do at home.
  • The project is kind of heavy, you have to do a whole backend and frontend (the frontend can be pretty minimal I think) and then the deployment (which is what...

Probably one of the easiest courses. Evaluation is 4 moodle quizzes + project. The quizzes are extremely easy and the project is not particularly easy (especially since you need to first develop the "base solution" to then deploy it) but also not particularly hard and teachers are extremely helpful in lab classes.

You can do this course and learn a lot or get by and get a very good grade.

Evaluation Weekly labs, very easily to get a great grade if you did the labs and attended lectures (easy to do as well if you didn't with help from other colleagues or other tools) Also no exam! Which is great

Project This year the project was a messaging app that you later needed to deploy using Kubernetes. You use Terraform and Ansible to deploy the infrastructure and configure it, and it's a nice introduction to such tools since I hadn't used them ever. The advanced feature I picked was CI/CD using Jenkins which was also very good to learn

Lectures I went while I had the time,...

Overall

Das minhas cadeiras preferidas do curso.

Course Overview

I liked this course. The topics aren't explored in great depth but they're interesting.

Lectures

The lectures focus mainly on DevOps concepts, which is cool. Early in the course, there are some classes about building data centers — probably not applicable to any student in the class, but still interesting to learn about.

Labs

In practical classes, the professor walks you through the lab script. Every week you learn something new:

  • Week 1: Vagrant for creating VMs
  • Week 2: Ansible for provisioning (you define requirements in a declarative file that...

At Taguspark, the theoretical classes consist entirely of student presentations. Professors don't teach these sessions at all. What you 'learn' in these classes is essentially what your peers Googled to prepare their presentations.

The presentations cover a disconnected mix of topics, ranging from commercial cloud systems to cybersecurity, databases, quantum computing, etc. It's a strange assortment without much cohesion.

Your final grade depends on your lab grades plus on the grade you get from your presentation. If you include plenty of real statistics and recent news in your presentation,...
