Introdução a Matematica Financeira

Os conteúdos da cadeira são interessantes e a professora explica bem, mas os slides são muito incompletos e só contemplam parte da matéria, tornando necessário estudar pelos apontamentos. Grande parte dos exercícios tem resoluções detalhadas. A avaliação é em três testes difíceis e para os quais o tempo não chega, e em exame de recurso foi permitido melhorar cada um individualmente, o que é excelente, mas a professora mencionou que a partir do próximo ano deixará de ser assim, decisão péssima que prejudica fortemente os alunos.

That was a really well-structured course, where we learn a lot not only about the fundaments but also about the aplications of Mathematical finance. In addition, the evaluation method was clever. The materials given were adequate and I suggest that for the next time we have a project about a specific subject on finance.

This was very challenging for me. First of all, don't get into this course thinking it has anything cool about finance. It's all of the boring math under the hood. Lots of proofs, demonstrations, and things like that. I believe this is one of those courses where either you are really passionate and motivated about these things, or... you're not. I wasn't and quickly stopped going to classes, only studying at home for the tests.
