Data Analysis and Probability

This course is amazingly well organized and thoughtfully structured. The Moodle page, with its weekly plans, helps students keep track of assignments, quizzes, and other materials. The videos are simple and direct, and the availability of summary versions is especially helpful for those who prefer shorter explanations. The grade distribution is also very well balanced. I found this course extremely difficult, as a person who came from humanities in high school and has barely any knowledge about mathematics. The professor was very kind and open to help with any questions, no matter our level of knowledge in maths but i think there should be provided more help and learning tools for people who don’t have solid bases on mathematics. Apart from that, I enjoyed learning data analysis and the activities done in class and i think that the videos and the study materials available on moodle were accessible and organised.

It is important to practice and to do exercises alone. I didn’t understand some things in class but then i understood it when practicing for the midterm/exam. It is scary to look at but once you understand it, it is always doing the same thing.

Not that difficult if you listen to the teacher. You have a group work where you do not choose the group but you can just divide the work and then put it all together. The videos are useful to take notes and that way you can do the exercise at the same time as the videos.

This is a very practical course, since most of the tasks/exercises are done inside excel. You will learn many things inside excel that might be a little overwhelming but with practice you get there easily!

Gostei bastante da cadeira. O conteúdo foi bem estruturado e considero ser relevante para a área de economia. A combinação entre teoria e prática foi bem equilibrada, o que facilitou a compreensão dos conceitos.
