Not enough material is given to study. Key knowledge appears in exercises and is not previously explained neither in theoretical nor practical classes. The case has a strict timeline but the information needed is in the slides and the TA’s are very helpful.

I really liked this course, but you had to continuously study or else you would be lost. The difficulty of the exam was much higher when compared to the midterms. (many people that had 18 average got 12 or worst in the exam).

One of the most interesting yet hardest course i have taken. It has a lot of workload, the midterms and exams are not hard but the case study will take a lot of time and effort. It was the hardest group work by far with big instructions and a lot of class concepts involved. The exam is kind of long so don’t loose much time, if you don’t know the answer, move on and answer the next one or you won’t be able to finish it.

This is a demanding course with a heavy workload. In addition to the midterms and final exam, there is a group project that requires a significant amount of time and effort. The materials provided on Moodle are more than enough to prepare for the midterms and exams. However, for the group project, I strongly recommend asking your TAs for help—make use of office hours. The workbook is useful for understanding the concepts, but when studying for the midterms and exams, make sure to practice exams from previous years, as the structure and types of exercises are usually very similar....

It is a difficult course, pay attention to the practical classes as the teacher assistants know better what doubts we have. It is a heavy workload but everything you need for midterms is on Moodle except for the study case where you will have to ask TA for help.

One of the toughest courses in Nova, you need to do a lot of work and you also have a super hard group work to do.

One of the most interesting but hard. Has 2 midterms and a project, which I recommend starting 3 weeks before, it’s a lot of work. Do some exercises from the handbook every week and repeat some before the exam while doing past exams. I ended with 14, but I think it could’ve been better, the only problem is that the exam is huge.

Gostei bastante desta cadeira, sobretudo pela forma como os conceitos foram apresentados com ligação prática à realidade, fornecendo uma base sólida para compreender a linguagem financeira das empresas e interpretar demonstrações financeiras.
