The evaluation is through a project and an exam. Regarding the project, you're given freedom to choose the topic you want (from a broad selection, but there's one for everyone) and to choose an implementation. It's worth 50% of the grade and the grades were all good. The exam is mandatory and very dense information-wise. It isn't necessarily a hard course, but like any biology course, there are a lot of concepts to understand and memorize, so it will take time to study for it. You can easily do it without attending the theoretical classes (which are a bit boring), since the professors provide...

Not an easy course, with loads of things to memorise and details to know. Concepts are not difficult to memorise, but there is a lot of content to take in. You will definitely need to study across the period if you choose it, not just leave it to the exam week. The faculty team is amazing and very helpful. The challenge (50% of the grade) is very fun. Grades, in general, were high. Despite the heavy workload (again, mostly due to the long content), would take it again. If you love biology, choose it!

Biology heavy course (obviously), it was mandatory so I had to take it but if you don't like biology it's going to be uninteresting and hard, if you like biology the concepts aren't very hard to grasp, just a lot of information.
The groupworks aren't difficult and the grades are generaly good (above 15). The exam is worth 50%, it was hard for me because I struggle a lot studying for things I have to memorize, it's 40 multiple questions and any wrong answer discounts 0.1/20.

PONTOS FORTES: Conteúdo da UC adequado e interessante. As aulas (de todos os professores) fluíram bem e a um ótimo ritmo, potenciando a captação e compreensão por parte dos alunos. O projeto foi relevante e bem comunicado, com uma excelente organização em termos de apoio no mesmo. Exame adequado e avaliação de ambas as componentes justa.
PONTOS FRACOS: UC bastante bem estruturada e apresentada. Não há pontos fracos a apontar.
