Objectives

(i) The topics covered in this course aim to provide a basic analytical grid to understand comprehensively the phenomena of innovation (technological, non- technological). (ii) The course aims to give the students an adequate comprehension of the complementary realities of the business company and the innovation system as a whole, taking into account the complex interactions that underlie the design, production and diffusion of innovations. (iii) In this context, the course aims to provide the necessary knowledge to characterize the institutions that influence the design, production and diffusion of innovations. (iv) In addition to providing students with a solid conceptual framework for analyzing innovation, the course seeks to provide the necessary information about the indicators and the most relevant statistical sources to carry out analysis within the framework provided by the course.
