Then students learn how metrology and standardization are deeply involved in the way inspection and control activities are carried out and how standards are defined so that quality of the industrial products is properly measured and implemented.

Syllabus

1. Principles of Engineering Metrology. 2. Standards of Measurement. 3. Limits, Fits and Tolerances. 4. Linear Measurement. 5. Angular Measurement. 6. Optical Measuring Systems. 7. Metrology of Surface Finish. 8. Coordinate Measuring Machines. 9. Mechanical Measurements. 10. Inspection and Metrological Control. 11. Standardization and Certification.

Cross Competence Component

The work to be carried includes the following soft skills: critical and innovative thinking, decision making, teamwork, leadership, written communication and oral communication, use of computer and multimedia tools, report structuring and presentation.
