Projeto de Instalações Solares e Fotovoltaicas

At the end of this course unit, the student will have acquired the knowledge, skills, and competences necessary to:

- Understand the technical, technological, and scientific aspects required for the design and pre-design of solar installations, including photovoltaic systems, solar thermal systems (for water heating and climate control), and solar thermoelectric systems (for electricity generation).

- Be able to develop and optimise photovoltaic system projects from an economic perspective, particularly in the context of self-consumption models and off-grid systems.

- Understand the scientific foundations (semiconductors, thermodynamics, electromagnetism) and the physical principles underlying the various photovoltaic conversion technologies, as well as the variability of the solar resource.
