Objectives

Motivate the students to the importance of electronic testing and study all the steps from planning to testing. Provide students with the ability to design testable circuits, plan and apply tests, and evaluate the quality of those tests.

Syllabus

1. Introdution to electronic testing. 2. Fault and defect modeling. 3. Fault simulation. 4. Test pattern generation. 5. Design for testability (Scan). 6. Boundary scan. 7. Built-In Self-Test (BIST). 8. Memory testing.

Laboratorial Component

2 projects performed in groups of 2 students

Ethical Principles

All members of a group are responsible for the group’s work In any assessment, every student shall honestly disclose any help received and sources used. In an oral assessment, every student shall be able to present and answer questions about the entire assignment and solution.
