Descrição

Objectives

Comprehension of the aerodynamics and stability of non-conventional configurations (other than an symmetric aircraft with a fixed wing and vertical and horizontal stabilizer positioned at the rear of the aircraft).

Syllabus

Study of the conventional aircraft shape. Study of non-conventional ways of generating lisft with a rotating and flapping wing. Study of non-stationary and aerostatic aerodynamics. Study of non-conventional shapes: without symmetry several fuselages with and without rear stabilizer surfaces.

Aerodynamics I, Flight Stability

The adoption of different approaches to solve the underlying problems is encouraged in project work, as well as the analysis of the potential results on design, operational and economic aspects, thus contributing to the development of Critical and Innovative Thinking. In addition, teamwork and oral presentation of the projects contributes to the development of Interpersonal Skills.
