Descrição

Objectives

The goal of this course is to introduce the language and the techniques of the theory of finite dimensional dynamical systems. We study the qualitative theory of ordinary differential equations and of difference equations (iteration of maps). We analyse the geometric and computational aspects of dynamical systems, including the concept of chaos. We analyse several applications of the dynamical systems theory.
