Admission to Bachelor's in Economics

Online application, using the national exam grades required as entrance exams. Each applicant lists up to 6 institution/degree pairs, in order of preference, and is placed in the first one their application grade qualifies for.

• Access: a password certified at the secondary school or at a higher education access office, or login with the Cartão de Cidadão or Chave Móvel Digital.
• The degree's minimum grades and pré-requisitos: Entrance exams and formula, from the Guia de Candidatura 2026.
• One placement per round. A placement in a later round cancels the earlier one.

The contest is run by the Instituto para o Ensino Superior (IES), which succeeded DGES in 2026.

For applicants without EU/EEA status. Portuguese and EU applicants go through the Concurso Nacional de Acesso.

• Minimum grade per school system (Economics and Management: A-Levels AAB with an A in Maths, or IB 36). Full table on the admissions page.
• English, if not the first language: IELTS 6 or TOEFL iBT 80
• Application fee: 70€

Two intakes a year: fall (starting September) and spring (starting February). Applicants below the minimum grades can enter through the SUPERNOVA Foundation Programme.
