Introdução ao Projecto e Produção Sustentáveis
Description
Objectives
Knowledge and experience in interdisciplinary analyses of engineering projects in a life cycle sustainability perspective, focusing on the following aspects: -Main challenges in sustainability of engineering projects, namely regarding the conceptual project (aerodynamics, propulsion and materials), manufacturing and logistics; - Phases of a project, methods for planning time and resources - Early project estimation of resources and impacts in each process along the project life cycle; - Data acquisition, prediction and control in industry 4.0 projects; - Life cycle methodologies considering the three pillars of sustainability (economics, environment and social) and integration of results
Syllabus
1. New challenges in engineering projects; 2. Project management – Management of time and resources; 3. Process-based modelling; 4. Methods for data acquisition, prediction and control in industry 4.0 context; 5. Project life cycle evaluation – Life Cycle Design; 5.1. Design for X – Design for manufacturing, assembly, use, disassembly, EOL and life cycle; 5.2. Models for evaluating the impact of projects in production, use and EOL; 5.3. Life cycle methodologies: Life Cycle Cost, Life Cycle Assessment, Social-Life Cycle Assessment; 6. Selection of alternatives
Cross Competence Component
The work to be carried includes the following soft skills: critical and innovative thinking, decision making, teamwork, leadership, written communication and oral communication, use of computer and multimedia tools, report structuring and presentation.
Programming And Computing Component
In the group project is usually necessary the use of discrete project manament and environmental assessment softwares. These softwares usually need simple parameters settings actions, but no specific skills.
Ethical Principles
All members of a group are responsible for the group’s work In any assessment, every student shall honestly disclose any help received and sources used. In an oral assessment, every student shall be able to present and answer questions about the entire assignment and solution.
