Description

Objectives

Students should be able integrate the knowledge and skills acquired during the course for the analysis and problem solving of an engineering problem in the area of control, automation, robotics, or industrial informatics.

Syllabus

Several engineering problems are proposed for individual or group resolution. Students will make an in-depth study of the proposed problem, obtaining information from bibliographic sources and reviewing the state-of-the-art on the subject. Students should submit a proposal to solve the proposed problem, the solution of which will involve the application of technical solutions related to the areas of control, automation, robotics, or industrial informatics.

Prerequisites

Approval in courses from the 1st year of the 2nd cycle of the Systems profile or equivalent.

Cross Competence Component

Project development requires critical and inovative reasoning, decision making, team work, leadership, oral communication skills, use of computer multimedia tools (40% of the evaluation component).

Ethical Principles

All members of a group are responsible for the group’s work In any assessment, every student shall honestly disclose any help received and sources used. In an oral assessment, every student shall be able to present and answer questions about the entire assignment and solution.
