In the end of the curricular unit (CU), students should be able to:

1. Know the linear regression model (simple and multiple)

2. Know the theoretical framework of linear regression models, such as the properties of the least square estimators, maximum likelihood and hypothesis tests.

3. Apply the linear regression model to problems in the health area

4. Interpret and assess in a critical way the results

5. Know the procedures and techniques to evaluate linear models

6. Construct and interpret non-parametric survival curves and respective hypothesis tests

7. Be a critical reader of the literature on linear regression models and survival analysis on the health area

8. Use linear regression models in academic assignment.
