Métodos Instrumentais de Análise II
Description
The curricular unit aims to provide the fundamentals in the field of Analytical Chemistry of techniques commonly used in the laboratory: spectroscopy, spectrophotometry, mass spectrometry and electrochemistry, but sometimes only from the user's point of view. It is therefore intended that the student understands the phenomena at their origin, enabling them to intervene, in the future, both in terms of the development of the technique and in the interpretation of experimental data.
As specific objectives: i) concept of electromagnetic radiation and interaction with matter; i) fundamentals of spectrophotometry, graphite chamber, (furnace), flame, electric arc, ICP, RX diffraction, ii) fundamentals of electrochemical methods, mainly potentiometric methods and cyclic voltammetry; iii) Mass Spectrometry, Fundamentals, Detectors and -analyzers, and ICP MS
