Description
Objectives
To analyze and design analog and digital integrated circuits with CMOS technologies. Learn how to use CAD/CAE tools for integrated circuits understanding the design flow for analog and digital designs.
Syllabus
1- Operational amplifiers. 2- Analog to digital and digital to analog signal converters. 3- Design of digital integrated circuits. 4- Switched capacitors circuits. 5- Active filters.
Prerequisites
Strong knowledge of circuits theory and electronic circuits with transistors. Integrated circuits analysis and simulation at initial level.
Laboratorial Component
Three small projects will be made in the laboratory classes (P1, P2 and P3). The projects are made in groups of 3, or exceptionally 2, students. One reports should be delivered for each project. The laboratory projects are exclusively made with simulators.
Programming And Computing Component
Software packages to use in the IC design: - Cadence Virtuoso - Custom IC Design Environment. - Cadence Encounter Digital Implementation System.

All members of a group are responsible for the group’s work In any assessment, every student shall honestly disclose any help received and sources used. In an oral assessment, every student shall be able to present and answer questions about the entire assignment and solution.
