Data Analysis and Probability

A cadeira é bastante interessante, foi uma das minhas favoritas, no entanto os momentos de avaliação são difíceis e não se consegue tirar uma alta nota com facilidade. As aulas são muito boas e a matéria é interessante. É importante utilizar os materiais dados pelos professores como os quizzes de treino e os videos.

The teaching was well designed (especially the videos. The assessment should not punish so hard when a student gets an answer wrong.

The most important thing you have to know frim the start is how to use the excel. I recommend you to watch the excel videos on moodle while trying to do those exercises on your own. The workgroup assessment is important so dont postpone it. I recommend going to Maria Helena’s class.

Amazing teacher, dominates their subject. Great into to Statistics. Fun and easy coursework with understandable slides and clear structure. Evaluation is very reasonable and the classes are very worthwhile. Exams and midterms should come naturally if you follow the classes

This course is amazingly well organized and thoughtfully structured. The Moodle page, with its weekly plans, helps students keep track of assignments, quizzes, and other materials. I found this course extremely difficult, as a person who came from humanities in high school and has barely any knowledge about mathematics. The professor was very kind and open to help with any questions, no matter our level of knowledge in maths but i think there should be provided more help and learning tools for people who don’t have solid bases on mathematics. Apart from that, I enjoyed learning data analysis and the activities done in class and i think that the videos and the study materials available on moodle were accessible and organised.

It is important to practice and to do exercises alone. I didn’t understand some things in class but then i understood it when practicing for the midterm/exam. It is scary to look at but once you understand it, it is always doing the same thing.

Not that difficult if you listen to the teacher. You have a group work where you do not choose the group but you can just divide the work and then put it all together. The videos are useful to take notes and that way you can do the exercise at the same time as the videos.

This is a very practical course, since most of the tasks/exercises are done inside excel. You will learn many things inside excel that might be a little overwhelming but with practice you get there easily!

Gostei bastante da cadeira. O conteúdo foi bem estruturado e considero ser relevante para a área de economia. A combinação entre teoria e prática foi bem equilibrada, o que facilitou a compreensão dos conceitos. Os exercícios e exemplos ajudaram a consolidar o conteúdo, e a dinâmica das aulas tornou o processo de aprendizagem mais envolvente.
