Objectives
Develop the ability to integrate the knowledge, skills and competences acquired during the study cycle, in the analysis and resolution of specific problems in the field of Medical Physics. Preparation of the topic and planning of the work to be developed for the Master's dissertation to be carried out in the following semester.
Syllabus
At the beginning of the semester, topics will be proposed for projects (experimental, laboratory or operational work) to be carried out in the 2nd semester of the 2nd year of the study cycle) leading to the Master's dissertation in Medical Physics, that will be supported by a brief description. After being assigned a topic/project, each student: - Will develop an analysis and in-depth study of the proposed topic and associated problems, obtaining and compiling information from bibliographic sources; - Will conduct a state-of-the-art review of the topic(s) in question; - Will write a monograph (about 20-30 pages maximum) on the topic(s) in question; - At the end of the semester, they will present a public seminar will be held on the topic in question. The development of this Project will be supported by the team responsible for the Curricular Unit, and by external mentors/supervisors, specialists adequate to the proposed topics.
