Description
Objectives
The aim of this curricular unit is to transmit the basic concepts of medicine, such as drug substance, its synthesis or extraction, excipient, pharmaceutical development and design, drug product, controls, bioavailability, and drug substance-receptor interactions. At the end of the course students should demonstrate integrated knowledge of the scientific principles that support the multidisciplinary field of Pharmaceutical Sciences in its different components, particularly pharmacology (pharmacodynamics), pharmacokinetics, medicinal/therapeutic chemistry and pharmaceutics.
